Appearance Lyophilized powder. Formulation Lyophilized after extensive dialysis against PBS. Endotoxin Level <0.2 EU/μg, determined by LAL method. Reconstitution Reconstitute the lyophilized recombinant Porcine Interleukin-4 (CHO-expressed) (rPoIL-4) to 100 μg/mL using ddH2O or PBS. Storage & Stability Lyophilized recombinant Porcine Interleukin-4 (CHO-expressed) (rPoIL-4) is stored at -20°C. After reconstitution, it is stable at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for longer. It is recommended to freeze aliquots at -20°C or -80°C for extended storage. Shipping Room temperature in continental US; may vary elsewhere. Background The effect of IL-4 signaling is mediated through the IL-4 receptor alpha chain (IL-4Rα). Upon binding to its ligand, IL-4Rα dimerizes either with the common gamma chain (γc) to produce the type-1 signaling complex located mainly on hematopoietic cells, or with the IL-13 receptor alpha 1 (IL-13Rα1) to produce the type-2 complex, which is expressed also on non-hematopoietic cells[1]. |
